a ramble because it's cold again!

Last week we had a big taste of spring with a few days in the high sixties. It was glorious. This week we are back to cold temperatures and a little snow- which I actually love considering it is winter and it should be cold right now. My skin and hair? Not so happy about it all. And I am sure I'm not the only one out there feeling like the before girl in an Aveeno commercial. So I'm bringing in the big guns and thought I'd share a few of my favorites. Welcome to my bathroom counter...

Let's starts with the Kiehl's products. Because I am hooked. Great for diva skin like mine that has a tantrum whenever harsh products get near it. This is a three part nighttime routine that has made my skin chill the freak out. The midnight oil is like a little elixer that you only need about 5 drops of to make your skin feel soft after taking off the day's makeup. It smells like a spa. I am obsessed. Really. Next the eye cream and abyssine to prevent wrinkles because tomorrow I am just three short years from thirty. Great.

The rest of the products are really straight forward and awesome. I am a bit of a product whore so trust me on this. The Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Oil is better than Moroccan oil. It protects your hair from heat and moisturizes it. One drop is all you need. Color your locks? Feel like they're turning to straw in the cold air? Me too. Pureology hair mask once a week. Done. Face dry as shit? Before you moisturize, exfoliate with Olay's system - it's less harsh than that other overpriced brush that people were freaking out about last year.

And for daytime- mix Olay regenerist (again, wrinkle fighting) with a little Sisley Tinted face gel- my makeup artist at our wedding taught me this. It creates a glow that is really sheer and dewy. And lastly, paint those nails a happy color and use some hand cream so you don't get grandma hands before you're a grandma. Can y'all tell I'm a little paranoid about turning another year older tomorrow? Early life crisis. Where's a cocktail?

If you made it to the end of my beauty ramble I am thoroughly impressed. Stay warm!
