Hey party people. Apologies for the lack of posts this week! It has been one of those rare, wonderfully productive in the most positive way weeks. Workin, spinnin', packin' (see above, might have a denim issue), readin' some Brene Brown and watching a lot of Ted Talks.
Brene Brown's TED talks have had over 10,000,000 hits and she is amazing. Her writing style is really approachable and her research is interesting and eye opening. I have had a few shifts over the past few years that have made me ask myself how I want to live the rest of my life, who I need to focus on, what I need to let go of, and how I can make my time here worth something. Turns out the more honest I am with all of those questions, the easier it is to have a really fun, fulfilling life.
If you're in your 20's and haven't seen Meg Jay's Ted Talk take 20 and watch. I saw this on Cassie's blog and it was a great kick to think about what I can do today to affect my life tomorrow and in years to come. And really, what Meg Jay is discussing can be applied to any age. What I took from it: don't wait around for life to happen. Take what you have and get proactive about the life you are living.
Boom. What started out as a little check in with you lovely readers turned into a little self growth list of Ted Talks. And why not, it's a nice departure from the latest pillow or shirt to buy. A little substance never hurt nobody. In travel news, I am counting down the minutes until we leave DC humidity behind! You can follow along on my instagram and I promise to post as much as possible. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
