Ah back to the real world and a lovely stack of to do's on my desk! (Along with insomnia for some reason- which explains the 3 am post!) We came home to a foyer full of mail and in between the bills and throw away catalogues (whyyy so many) was the July/August issue of House Beautiful. And it might be my favorite issue this year. The theme of the issue was small spaces which I think are so fun to decorate. There is the opportunity to take more risks and create a special space with an emphasis on quality details. Wallpaper makes all the difference - you can really create separate spaces that actually feel bigger and more polished with pattern on the walls. Ashley Whittaker did so in a feminine NYC apartment...talk about maximizing the little luxuries- I can't believe this place is only 800 square feet!
