I think I have said this before but I'll say it again. I can't cook. Not really. I am more of an assembly girl which is why I consider myself to be hors d'oeuvres master. I'd rather eat an appetizer than a real meal any day.

We have started a little tradition of eating dinner with friends every Sunday. It is the best. People are always home on Sunday nights and usually fighting the Sunday blues/pre Monday anxiety. Everyone wants a good meal and it's the best way to recap the weekend and really catch up. A few weeks ago we  grilled out with some of our nearest and dearest and our lady host whipped up the. best. summer. appetizer: peaches and blue cheese crostini. I don't even like blue cheese and I've made this twice since.

You must get in on the action. It will change your cocktail hour world.

Here's what you need:
blue cheese
olive oil
a fresh baquette

Here's what you do:
1. Rub olive oil on both sides of the slices of bread and place on a baking sheet.
2. Broil one side of bread until it's golden. Then take the bread out of the oven.
3. Flip the slices over. Lay peaches on top of each piece. Sprinkle with blue cheese. Broil until cheese is melted.
4. Pull the peach deliciousness out of the oven, drizzle with honey, stuff your face.

You won't regret it.
