Want to start your day with some sweet inspiration? Take a look at this video from Verrado High School in Arizona by clicking here. A student from the high school made it based on the story of Megan, a girl with Down Styndrome who was determined to make the cheer team. She worked hard with the help and support of her peers and made the team. It's such a sweet depiction of her story!
Like Megan my sister Lizzie has Down Syndrome and let me tell you life can be a confusing place when you have a mental disability. Lizzie is pretty fabulous and has enriched my life beyond words. She and her friends have taught me to have patience, understanding and more than anything to laugh as much as possible. I am so grateful for that chick and for the students at Verrado High School looking out for each other!
P.S. If you're still using the word "retard" or "retarded" get a clue and quit it.
