If this isn't modern, relaxed feminine getaway done right then I don't know what is.
Let's take a closer look.

The open floor plan on the main level. So. Well. Done.
The kitchen is functional and beautiful without taking over the room. And the tile running to the ceiling is brilliant. It's subtle in color but makes the space feel so much warmer because of the pattern. Take note - it's a good move.

The master bedroom. Gorgeous John Robshaw patterned fabric does the talking in this room. Great designer trick - repeating a pattern over and over in a space and letting everything else be subtle creates the perfect amount of drama in a room. I have been looking at a sample of this fabric for months. It's a little kooky but the repeat is an approachable size.  I love it and need to make it happen in a client's home.

Oh good.

I just love it!
Pink and purple and natural tones. Feminine without being "girly" and above all relaxed.
There is much more to see on Domaine!

And since we're talking pattern - big props are due to my step madre, Jane and her brilliant design partner Cindy for making it to world of Oprah - their work is featured along with tips from their book on Oprah's website! So I'm thinking Sunday family brunch at O's Santa Barbara estate is the natural next step, right?
