Oh why not. Let's continue my "mountain chic on the hill" house updates tour with our "boho bright" guest room. I consider myself to be on the preppier side of bohemian, if there is such a thing, and I think this space shows that balance. The guest room hardly gets any natural light thanks to our very shady patio so I wanted it feel light and relaxing for our many houseguests who pop in. At the same time, I didn't want to spend a ton since I have a tendency to redo our home often...as you all know...so I put the dollas in the details.
The curtains are a simple lavender ticking that remained fresh and not campy thanks to the lucite hardware, the ikat throw pillows were affordable pick ups from Furbish and Etsy and I brought in a little luxury with the custom Brunschwig & Fils silk ikat lampshades and my favorite Gray Malin photograph. And I now want every lampshade in our house to be made from some beautiful fabric. It's all in the details and I'm going lamp to lamp.
